Where History Meets Modern Living
With over 20 years as both a Realtor and an Interior Decorator and nearly two decades of teaching design, I create spaces that balance timeless elegance with everyday functionality. My work blends the richness of tradition with the ease of contemporary living—designing homes that feel as inspiring as they are livable.
Experience That Transcends Borders
Living in Canada, South Africa, and Europe shaped my design perspective. Living within different cultures gave me a deep appreciation for how history, architecture, and lifestyle shape the way we design and inhabit our homes.
During 15 years in Europe, I owned a retail shop in Holland specializing in fine fabrics and furnishings, curating collections that combined craftsmanship, heritage, and style. Later, in international sales and marketing, I gained a broader understanding of design’s global influence. Travel and exploration refined my aesthetic further.
Inspired by the Past, Designed for Today
My design philosophy is built on:
A Global Perspective – Infusing spaces with cultural depth and international influence.
Historical Influence – A passion for the history of interiors and furniture, inspiring designs that honor craftsmanship while embracing modern living.
Thoughtful Curation – Selecting pieces that tell a story and stand the test of time.
Lifestyle-Driven Design – Creating rooms that work seamlessly with daily life, while inspiring you every day.
Teaching, Mentoring, and Elevating Design
For 19 years, I’ve shared my expertise as an instructor in Interior Decorating at Mount Royal University, Sheridan College, and George Brown College. I am also a member of the Decorators & Designers Association of Canada (DDA).
I’m currently on sabbatical from teaching but continue to guide clients in my dual roles as Realtor and Interior Decorator. My focus is on creating spaces that elevate everyday life with history and modern comfort.
